CMC has high sand carrying and sand consolidation capacity, can bring proppant to deeper fracturing fractures, and can reduce the crushing rate of support and make the formed oil and gas artificial channel more effective. Therefore, the oil and gas wells after fracturing with CMC have significant stimulation effect, which is significantly higher than those constructed with conventional fracturing fluid.

CMC-Application Of Water-Based Fracturing Fluid

1. It has extremely strong thickening ability, which is stronger than that of general guar gum, and has better dispersion performance;
2. Strong suspended sand capacity, low filtration loss, less residue and good thermal stability, and it is not easy to be degraded by bacteria;
3. Good shear resistance, excellent compatibility with formation salts, good salt resistance and low cost;
4. The residue content is low and the pollution to the formation is slight;
5. It has good fracturing performance and water retention, can be dissolved with various chemicals, and has superior synergy;
6. After fracturing operation, CMC will remain in the fracture and interact with proppant to form a spatial network structure to enhance the cohesion of proppant, so as to stabilize the proppant at the original position, and the fluid can pass freely, so as to achieve the purpose of preventing proppant backflow;
